In this time it has become an integral part of the fabric that makes up the South Australian Musical Theatre Community. Does my child need to audition to get a place in MTC or Spotlight?” onload=”closed”]A. If your child would like to be considered for a soloist role in either MTC or Spotlight they will need to attend an audition. However if they would prefer not to audition they will be automatically cast as part of the ensemble.[/creativ_toggle][creativ_toggle accordion=”1″ icon=”” heading=”Q. Does my child need previous experience in singing, dancing and acting?” onload=”closed”] A. No your child doesn’t need any previous experience at all. We do recommend that your child attends our Audition Workshop prior to the actual audition to ensure they feel confident and well prepared.[/creativ_toggle][creativ_toggle accordion=”1″ icon=”” heading=”Q. Can my child just enrol in MTC or Spotlight?” onload=”closed”] A. Yes your child can just enrol in both MTC or Spotlight. However we encourage all children to audition as it is an integral part of the Pelican experience and provides excellent confidence building skills.[/creativ_toggle][creativ_toggle accordion=”1″ icon=”” heading=”Q. Is my child guaranteed a lead role?” onload=”closed”]A. The audition process is comprised of 2 parts, a singing audition and a dancing audition. The directors will cast according to your child’s ability and suitability for a role in both of these areas.[/creativ_toggle][creativ_toggle accordion=”1″ icon=”” heading=”Q. What does my child wear each day to MTC or Spotlight?” onload=”closed”]A. Upon Enrolling into either MTC or Spotlight your child will be able to choose between a complimentary t-shirt or tank top. There is also an opportunity to purchase a 2nd t-shirt or tank top. Comfortable pants, leggings or shorts of your choice can also be worn each day. Your child will need to bring jazz shoes to dance in each day.[/creativ_toggle][creativ_toggle accordion=”1″ icon=”” heading=”Q. Do I need to organise my child’s costume?” onload=”closed”]A. You will be given a comprehensive list of all of the costume requirements for your child that you need to provide. Many of the costumes will be provided by Pelican but you will be required to provide shoes, undergarments and other various clothing items.[/creativ_toggle][creativ_toggle accordion=”1″ icon=”” heading=”Q. How many shows will my child perform in ?” onload=”closed”]A. Your child will perform in 2 shows.
