WELCOME TO PELICAN PRODUCTIONS

Founded in October 2004 by Directors Jen Frith and Kylie Green, Pelican Productions has established itself as an important part of the fabric that makes up the South Australian performing arts community.

With their dedicated team of professionally experienced vocal tutors and choreographers, Pelican Productions fosters young up and coming talent in musical theatre, striving to equip young performers with not only the necessary performance skills such as singing, dancing and acting, but to also instil an ethos of teamwork, respect and most of all, to have fun!

Over the past 15 years Pelican has run a yearly intensive two-week camp held in the January school holidays for 8 – 19 year old seasoned performers and novices, culminating the presentation of a music theatre performance that is truly amazing.

Pelican Productions has also produced a number of well known musicals, performing ‘Grease’ in 2013, ‘Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR’ in 2014, the Australian non-professional premiere of the much loved ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ in 2015, the South Australian premiere of ‘Bring It On – The Musical’ and ‘Seussical the Musical’ in 2017, the much loved ‘Annie JR and a return season of ‘Bring It On – The Musical in 2018 and Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR again this March in 2019. Pelican’s productions have received wide-spread acclaim from critics and audiences alike being nominated for and winning multiple awards.

Pelican Productions have also prepared and represented talent for many roles in professional musical theatre and film over the years. Most notably Pelican performers have been cast in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (TML Enterprises), Girl Asleep (Windmill Theatre Company), The Sound of Music (Gordon Frost), Priscilla Queen of the Desert (Michael Cassel Group), Anne of Green Gables (Emma Knights Productions) and The Sound of Music (Emma Knights Productions).
